Statistics on the number of trips made by road goods vehicles which travel from Great Britain to Europe between April 2019 and March 2020.

In the 12 month period ending March 2020, 3.3 million trips were made by road goods vehicles travelling from Great Britain to Europe, of which:

  • 2.2 million were by powered vehicles
  • 1 million were by unaccompanied trailers

In the 12 month period ending March 2020, the number of trips made by powered vehicles that travelled from Great Britain to Europe decreased by 8%, compared to the period ending March 2019, of which:

  • 0.3 million were by UK-registered
  • 1.9 million were by foreign-registered
