Details

Statistics on personal injury accidents on public roads in Great Britain in the year ending September 2016.

Reported road casualties, compared with the year ending September 2015, shows a:

  • 2% increase in road deaths to 1,810 (though this rise is not statistically significant)
  • 6% increase in killed or seriously injured casualties to 25,160
  • 4% decrease in casualties of all severities to 182,560

Vehicle traffic levels increased by 1.4%.
