Productivity statistics in creative industries and tourism and leisure industries
DCMS will no longer be producing statistics on the productivity of the creative, tourism and leisure industries.
Details
This is because the target that they were used to measure no longer exists, and demand for the statistics aside from this is very low. Data on gross value added (GVA) and employment in the creative industries can be found in our annual creative industries economic estimates (latest release: December 2010). The latest GVA and employment data on the creative, leisure and tourism industries can be found in the Office for National Statistics (ONS) Annual Business Survey. It is therefore possible to calculate productivity quickly and easily based on this data.
