Details
The Survey of Personal Incomes is based on information held by HMRC on individuals who could be liable to UK Income Tax. It is carried out annually by HMRC and covers income assessable for tax for each tax year.
The tables in this publication provide detailed breakdowns of individuals liable to UK Income Tax (taxpayers) and their incomes using sample-based estimates.

This publication was originally released in March 2020. Following the identification of an error in the imputation process (affecting all tables in this release apart from tables 3.9 and 3.10) the release was updated and re-published in June 2020.
