Palliative and end of life care profiles: June 2023 data update
The profiles provide an overview of palliative and end of life care in England at various geographies.

The update for June 2023 has been published by the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID).
In this update:
- the indicator showing percentage of deaths in care homes who are temporary residents has been updated to include data for integrated care boards (ICBs) and ICB sub-locations
- 5 place of death indicators showing the percentage of deaths that occur in hospital, home, care home, hospice and other places, by age (all ages, under 65 years, 65 to 74, 75 to 84, 85 years and older) have been updated to include data for ICBs and ICB sub-locations
- place of death factsheets for clinical commissioning groups have been updated to include monthly provisional place of death for February 2023
- care home factsheets for England, counties and unitary authorities have been updated to include trends in care home deaths to February 2023
The palliative and end of life care profiles are presented in an interactive tool which aims to help local government and health services improve care at the end of life.
