The profiles provide an overview of palliative and end of life care in England at various geographies.

Details
The Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID) has published the update for February 2026.
The indicators updated with data for 2024 are:
- percentage of deaths by place of death (hospital, home, care home, hospice and other places)
- percentage of deaths in care homes who are temporary residents
- percentage of deaths with 3 or more emergency admissions in the last 90 days of life
The indicators updated with data for 2025 are:
- the number of care home beds per 100 people aged 75 or older
- the number of nursing home beds per 100 people aged 75 or older
The palliative and end of life care profiles are presented in an interactive tool which aims to help local government and health services improve care at the end of life.
