This release provides information on national non-domestic rates and associated information for the financial year 2026 to 2027.

This information is derived from the national non-domestic rates (NNDR1) returns submitted by billing authorities in England.

  1. Updated to include supplementary data tables and Table 3 has been added to 'Tables 1-3' attachment. Supplementary data tables has additional data relating to the number of hereditaments (business unit) in receipt of mandatory and discretionary reliefs as at 31 December 2025, the expected number of hereditaments on the multipliers in 2026-27, and a further split of the Empty Property Relief and Small Business Rates Relief 2026-27.

  2. Supplementary data will be published on 20 April 2026. An early version was published in error on 17 April.

  3. Updated to include supplementary data tables and Table 3 has been added to 'Tables 1-3' attachment. Some revisions to the data following data submitted by 2 authorities which were missing in the original publication and some minor revision arising from late corrections made in response to validation work. Revisions have been made to Tables 1 – 2a however, the impact is relatively small and may not be seen in the rounded data. The statistical release and technical notes have also been revised.
