Details

The analysis published on this page relates to requests received by DECC for data breakdowns from the National Energy Efficiency Data-Framework (NEED). All outputs published here are based on data used in NEED publications. Publications are all available on the National Energy Efficiency Data-Framework (NEED) page.

Figures in the tables published here may differ from those published elsewhere for a number of reasons. For example, where information has been requested which only relates to gas heating consumption, the analysis only includes properties which are assumed to be using gas to heat their homes (i.e. consumption between 2,500kWh and 50,000kWh) whereas the Domestic Consumption analysis published reports includes properties that may have only used gas for other purposes such as cooking as well those which use it for heating (i.e. consumption between 100kWh to 50,000 kWh). Notes on why differences occur and other assumptions related specifically to an individual table are available on the “Notes” page within each output. More general information about the outputs can be found in the National Energy Efficiency Data-Framework methodology. If you have any queries or comments on these outputs please contact: energyefficiency.stats@decc.gsi.gov.uk.
