The total quantity of landings by UK vessels decreased in September 2023 compared to 2022, down 11%. The value of landings in September 2023 (£74.9m) also decreased compared to 2022, down by 21%.

Pelagic species comprised the majority of quantity (66%) and value (36%) of landings in September 2023. Value of both Demersal and Shellfish landings in September 2023 decreased by 32% and 27% respectively, when compared to September 2022.
