Highlights
- The total quantity of landings by UK vessels (tonnes) decreased in July 2025 compared to 2024, down 13%. The value of landings in July 2025 (£69.8m) decreased compared to 2024 down by 16%.
- Landings in July 2025 were comprised of slightly more Pelagic species (35%). This was driven by uptake of Herring. This is in line with the expected seasonality of Herring stocks where landings are typically higher in summer months (June - August). Shellfish species comprised the majority of the value landed (46%), with Demersal species also high at 41% as both species groups typically fetch a high price per tonne.
