Highlights

  • Total landings by UK vessels increased in February 2022 compared to 2021, up 34 per cent at 35 thousand tonnes. The value of landings in January 2022 (£49.2 million) was also up compared 2021 by 23 per cent.
  • The number of trips decreased in February 2022 compared to 2021 in particular within the Welsh fleet (down 50 per cent). This was likely driven by the period of storms including Dudley, Eunice and Franklin that impacted the UK throughout February.
