Highlights

• The total quantity of landings by UK vessels (tonnes) increased in April 2025 compared to 2024, up 6%. The value of landings in April 2025 (£58.7m) decreased compared to 2024 down by 3%.

• Landings in April 2025 comprised mostly Pelagic species (59%). This was driven by high landings of Blue Whiting which is usually a highly targeted fishery between February and April each year. Demersal species comprised the majority of the value landed (43%) due to Demersal species typically fetching a much higher price per tonne compared to Pelagic species.
