Revision of July statistics:
An error has been identified in the 'historic incorporation, dissolution and register size' table in the excel spreadsheet. The effective register for 2013-14 and 2014-15 figures (2,969,702 for both years) are incorrect. These figures have been revised (2013-14: 2968099 and 2014-14: 3203697).
The June figures in the 'historic incorporation, dissolution and register size' table are also incorrect and July's table should be used for the latest figures.
Breach of the Code of Practice for Official Statistics:
Pre-release access to this publication was not consistent with the rules laid out in the Pre-Release Access to Official Statistics Order 2008, leading to a breach of the Code of Practice for Official Statistics. A production error was discovered in this document originally published on 27 August 2015. The second bullet on page 4 of ‘Key points’ and on page 8 ‘The growth in incorporated companies’. The ‘Total and the Effective Register increase’ was incorrectly shown as 2.7m. This error has now been corrected to 2.5m. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Statistics revision. Attachments updated: An error has been identified in the Historic Inc, Diss & Register Size Table in the excel spreadsheet. The effective register for 2013-14 and 2014-15 figures (2,969,702 for both years) are incorrect. These figures have been revised (2013-14: 2968099 and 2014-14: 3203697).
