Details

This official statistics publication combines the content of two previous publications:

Electric vehicle public charging infrastructure statistics

Electric vehicle charging device grant scheme statistics

The publication contains two report documents covering each of these areas.

Data for public electric vehicle charging infrastructure are sourced from the electric vehicle charging point platform Zapmap.

The data are also available in standard geographical formats from the department’s Transport Statistics Geography Portal. Users of the portal should note that whilst updated regularly, the dataset available may not represent the latest published public charging data.

Grant schemes for electric vehicle charging infrastructure are funded by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV). The grant schemes data are sourced from administrative databases.

Our statistical practice is regulated by the Office for Statistics Regulation (OSR). OSR sets the standards of trustworthiness, quality and value in the Code of Practice for Statistics that all producers of official statistics should adhere to. You are welcome to contact us directly by emailing us with any comments about how we meet these standards.
