Home Office Statistical Bulletin 02/13 presents police recorded crime statistics on the levels and trends in detections and detection rates in England & Wales for the financial year 2012 to 2013.
The bulletin focuses on sanction detections where the offender receives some formal sanction such as being charged or summonsed, cautioned, reprimanded or given a final warning. Sanction detections also include penalty notices for disorder, warnings for cannabis possession and offences which are asked to be taken into consideration by a court.

- Update to 'Crimes detected in England and Wales, 2012 to 2013', page 17, footnote 3, line 1. Two instances of 29 were changes to 27 and the year 2011/12 was changed to 2012/13.
- 'Crimes detected in England & Wales 2012/13: Police Force Area tables' has been updated. Table 2 and 3, row 63, 'England' totals have been updated as the original totals were largely incorrect.
