Analyses the numbers of local units and of people employed in the following sectors:

  • aerospace
  • automotive
  • construction
  • information economy
  • life sciences
  • oil and gas
  • professional and business services

These sectors are taken from the government’s Industrial Strategy.

The analysis was undertaken using IDBR data in March 2013 by the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills (BIS).
