This publication provides sanctions statistics on:

  • Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
  • Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) Work Related Activity Group (WRAG)
  • Income Support (IS)
  • Universal Credit (UC) (both full and live service)

  1. Revised data tables – figures in table 4.1 in the data tables published in February 2021 have been amended. The data in the original table 4.1 was for the entire time series (from May 2016), rather than for the latest year as stated in the table title. This has been replaced by data for the previous year only.
