Year 12 and year 14 examination performance at post-primary schools in Northern Ireland: 2019 to 2020

This statistical bulletin contains data on examination performance in Northern Ireland post-primary schools 2019 to 2020. The data are taken from the Summary of Annual Examination Results (SAER) process, which collates summary school level examinations data and validates it with schools.

Statistics release cancelled

In response to the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) the Minister of Education announced on 20 May 2020 that, in line with approaches taken in England and Wales to the collection of qualification outcomes, the Summary of Annual Examination Results (SAER) process would be suspended. The statistical bulletin for the 2019/20 academic year which was due to be published in December 2020 was, therefore, cancelled. The statistical bulletin for the 2020/21 academic year, due to be published in December 2021, was also subsequently cancelled. It is currently envisaged that a statistical bulletin for the 2021/22 academic year will be published in December 2022.
