Social Housing Lettings, England: April 2013 to March 2014
The annual statistical release presents official statistics on new lettings of the stock owned by local authorities and private registered providers of social housing in England. It is based on administrative data collected via the COntinuous REcording of Lettings and Sales (CORE) system. There have been some improvements to the weighting and imputation methodology used to derive the aggregate statistics since the last publication. These improvements will have a minor impact at the national level on the overall totals and year-on-year percentage change in social housing lettings in England. The December Statistical Release will cover both 2013-14 and revised 2012-13 data using the improved methodology. DCLG will be publishing local authority level data alongside the national level data covered by the release. DCLG are also reviewing their disclosure policy for accessing CORE data and will provide further information ahead of the December release.
