Details
Indicators in the Child and maternal health profiles and Sexual and reproductive health profiles have been updated. The annual update to reproductive health indicators gives data to inform planning for sexual health and contraceptive services for local populations. They are intended for use by local government and health service professionals.
This release updates indicators relating to:
- abortions
- contraception
- conceptions for women under 18 and conceptions for women under 16
The conceptions for women under 18 and conceptions for women under 16 indicators would normally be updated in May but the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic led to delays in birth registrations which delayed the publication of complete, accurate and comparable conception statistics by the Office for National Statistics which are the source data for these indicators.
