Ambulance quality indicators systems indicators for March 2016

Information on the quality of care provided delivered by ambulance services, including the response times of ambulance crews.



For the eleven Ambulance Services in England: performance for Category A response times against the Handbook to the NHS constitution; counts of ambulance journeys by category, cases resolved on the telephone or at the scene, and subsequent re-contacts.

Ambulance systems indicators: Category A 8 minute response time, category A 19 minute response time, call abandonment rate, re-contact rate following discharge of care, time to answer call, time to treatment, ambulance calls closed with telephone advice or managed without transport to A&E, ambulance emergency journeys.
