The Alternative Claimant Count statistics measure the number of people claiming unemployment related benefits by modelling what the count would have been if Universal Credit had been in place since 2013.

  1. Corrected some of the regional data about claiming unemployment benefits. The sentence 'The North West saw the largest increase of 7.4% on the previous year, followed by the South East at 6.1%', now correctly reads 'The South West saw the largest increase of 7.6% on the previous year, followed by the North West at 7.4%'.
