The release includes each department’s 2025-26 total efficiency and savings delivered, in £ millions and as a share of its Resource Departmental Expenditure Limit (RDEL), a breakdown of efficiencies by GEF category and examples of efficiency delivery across government.

The data compile the latest quarterly departmental reporting based on the Government Efficiency Framework (GEF), which sets common definitions and reporting standards for efficiency reporting across government.
