Yorkshire Water Services Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number 2/27/23/033 which authorises the abstraction of water from surface waters at National Grid References SE 47 96 and SE 46 98 near Osmotherley, North Yorkshire.

The variation applied for is to remove the authorised abstraction point at SE 47 96 from the licence and to remove the requirement for the licence holder to make a continuous compensation release of 1.1 mega litres per day from Oakdale Upper and Lower reservoirs.
