WSP Remediation Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from sandstone groundwater at Exeter, from the area within National Grid References SX 96478 92367, SX 96544 92393, SX 96599 92285 and SX 96511 92261.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 10 cubic metres an hour
  • 60 cubic metres a day
  • 21,900 cubic metres a year
  • All year

The water will be used for pollution remediation.
