The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010 from Severn Trent Water Limited.

  • Volume: 6,600 cubic metres per day under dry weather flow conditions

This variation is made to replace the current ineffective iron-based chemical dosing agent. An aluminium–based dosing agent is proposed in order to meet statutory phosphorus removal targets for this Works.

The Environment Agency must decide whether to grant or refuse the application. If they grant it, they must decide what conditions to include in the permit.
