This guidance is for:

  • school and trust leaders educating primary-school-aged children
  • operational wraparound leads in schools
  • governing boards in maintained schools, academies, trusts and free schools

It provides guidance to help schools:

  • offer new or expanded wraparound childcare, with support from the national wraparound childcare programme
  • respond to requests from parents and childcare providers about wraparound and holiday childcare
