Details

You can apply for the Woodland Management Plan (WMP) grant:

  • through the Rural Payments service
  • by completing the application form and sending it to us

Apply through the Rural Payments service

You can use the Rural Payments service to apply for a WMP grant online. You’ll need to complete the WMP annex (except the land summary tab).

Apply using the application form

You’ll also need to fill in the WMP annex if you’re using the grant application form.

You can request a copy of the annex by emailing ruralpayments@defra.gov.uk. Make sure you put ‘Send CS WMP annex’ as the subject of the email.

You can also telephone the Rural Payments Agency on 03000 200 301 to ask for a copy.

If you do not have management control over all or part of the land included in the application for the full length of the potential agreement, you’ll also need to complete a land ownership and control form.
