Wolf Minerals (UK) Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the Portworthy Dam, Lee Moor, Plymouth at National Grid Reference SX 55925 60200.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

For the purpose of dust suppression:

  • 360 cubic metres an hour
  • 650 cubic metres a day
  • 161,200 cubic metres a year

For the purpose of mineral washing:

  • 360 cubic metres an hour
  • 1,450 cubic metres a day
  • 529,250 cubic metres a year

All year.
