An application has been made to the Environment Agency by WM Youngs and Sons (Farm) Limited. The Environment Agency are required to give notice of this application.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from Stourton Water at Cawston at National Grid Reference (NGR) TG 1622 2520.

The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates and periods:

  • 34.1 cubic metres an hour
  • 818 cubic metres a day
  • 73,000 cubic metres a year

Between November and March inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for the filling of a storage reservoir. The abstraction will be subject to a flow restriction.
