I am seeking disclosure of information relating to the professional background and operational security experience of your Board of directors and executive team members.

Specifically, I request the following:

Question 1

I request the total number of current Board directors who have, within the last 10 years, personally worked in any of the following roles:

  • door supervisor (including nightclub or licensed venue security)
  • event security
  • building site or construction security
  • close protection
  • CCTV operator
  • any other frontline SIA-licensable security role

Question 2

What is the total number of current executive team members who have, within the last 10 years, personally worked in any of the above roles?

Question 3

For each individual counted in response to questions 1 and 2, give:

  • the specific role(s) undertaken
  • the sector – for example: nightclub, festival, corporate event, construction site
  • the approximate number of deployments, shifts, or assignments completed within the last 10 years in each category
  • whether the role was undertaken in an employed or self-employed capacity

Response

We can confirm that the SIA does not specifically hold information in respect of the Board and executive team who have worked as security operatives.

We do however publish details of the professional background and operational experience of our Board on our website: Our governance - Security Industry Authority - GOV.UK. The published information shows that no current Board members (Executive and Non-Executive Directors) hold or have held a licence.
