Welded tubes and pipes of iron or non-alloy steel, originating in Belarus and Russia (anti-dumping duty 2406)

Amending the regulations imposing anti-dumping or countervailing duties on certain steel products subject to safeguard measures.
The Commission announced, in Regulation 2019/1382, OJ ref.L227 dated 3 September 2019, that where the 25% safeguard duty becomes payable (because the quota is exhausted) on certain steel imports in chapters 72 and 73 of the Tariff, any anti-dumping or countervailing duty also in force will be adjusted or suspended as appropriate, with immediate effect:
- any suspensions are limited to the period that the 25% safeguard must be paid, it does not apply when the quota is available
- the regulations concerned and the adjusted rates are detailed in the annexes of regulation 2019/1382
As a consequence of the exhaustion of quota 098642 the countervailing duty on welded tubes and pipes of iron or non-alloy steel, originating in Belarus and Russia will be suspended from 4 June 2020 to 30 June 2020 as follows.
