The Commission announced an investigation in the Official Journal reference C347 dated 28 September 2018, concerning imports of welded tubes, pipes and hollow profiles of square or rectangular cross-section, of iron or steel, originating in:
- North Macedonia
- Russia
- Turkey
Cast iron and stainless steel tubes, pipes and hollow profiles are not included in this investigation.

- 7306 6192
- 7306 6199
This investigation and any measures imposed will be subject to the amended rules for anti-dumping duty as detailed in Regulation (EU) 2018/825. In particular:
- the investigation period is shortened to 13 to 14 months
- any provisional duty to be imposed no later than 7 to 8 months from initiation
- there are new procedures and timescales for interested parties to request information and comment
