Details of the application

WB Chambers Farms Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Darent catchment.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water as follows:

  • at an instantaneous rate of 7.5 litres per second
  • 27 cubic metres an hour
  • 648 cubic metres a day
  • 101,542 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 March and 31 December inclusive in each year
  • at National Grid Reference (NGR) TQ 54658 69221
  • from abstraction location Underground strata comprising chalk at Homefield Farm, South Darenth, Sevenoaks, Kent.

The water will be used for Trickle Irrigation
