Ensuring water reliably flows from our taps is a fundamental duty for a water company. This involves planning to have enough water to meet demands from customers while protecting and enhancing the environment. Water companies’ water resources management plans (WRMPs) do this, but it is important that these plans are delivered.

This report summarises and reviews progress on key water demand and supply metrics across wholesale water companies in England, for the year April 2024 to March 2025.
