Walton Farms limited: application made to abstract (take) water

Walton Farms Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for 3 licences.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of these applications in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
Abstraction north of Felixstowe Port container park (application reference NPS/WR/018386)
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from an un-named watercourse north of Felixstowe Port container park between National Grid References (NGR) TM 26224 35513 and TM 26650 35315.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 54 cubic metres an hour
- 1,296 cubic metres a day
- 68,957 cubic metres a year
Between November and March inclusive in each year.
The water will be used for filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation. The abstraction will be subject to suitable flow cessation conditions.
Abstraction from the Byle Fleet, Felixstowe (application reference NPS/WR/018387)
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the Byle Fleet between NGR TM 27928 34726 and TM 27633 34395.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 72 cubic metres an hour
- 1,728 cubic metres a day
- 120,008 cubic metres a year
Between November and March inclusive in each year.
The water will be used for filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation.
Abstraction from the King’s Fleet, Felixstowe (application reference NPS/WR/018390)
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the King’s Fleet between NGR TM 30195 37614 and TM 29269 37164.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 72 cubic metres an hour
- 1,728 cubic metres a day
- 56,130 cubic metres a year
Between November and March inclusive in each year.
The water will be used for filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation. The abstraction will be subject to suitable flow cessation conditions.
