Waldersey Farms Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application (in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006).
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from Old Bedford River at Nordelph, Cambridgeshire between National Grid References TL 56126 98171 and TL 56011 98015.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 115 cubic metres an hour
- 2,760 cubic metres a day
- 68,191 cubic metres a year
Between 1 November and 31 March each year.
The water will be used to fill a reservoir and subsequent discharge to the Old Bedford River for re-abstraction for spray irrigation between 1 March and 31 October each year. This licence will be linked to existing licence 6/33/53/*S/0195 held by the applicant.
