W. Nutt & Son Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from a reach within the River Derwent and River Derwent Delph, North Yorkshire between National Grid References (NGRs) SE 90150 79700 and SE 94650 79350, and a reach within the Brompton Beck between NGRs SE 93615 79467 and SE 93894 80417.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 110 cubic metres an hour
- 2,400 cubic metres a day
- 45,000 cubic metres a year
- At an instantaneous rate not exceeding 31 litres per second.
- between 1 April and 31 October inclusive in each year.
The above will be abstracted via a pump for direct spray irrigation.

- At an instantaneous rate not exceeding 31 litres per second.

The above will be abstracted via a pump for filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation.
