W F Alton and Son Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Crimple at National Grid Reference SE 39630 52850, and between National Grid References SE 39090 53000 and SE 39520 52840.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 55 cubic metres an hour
- 1,100 cubic metres a day
- 17,000 cubic metres a year
- between 1 April and 31 October inclusive in each year.
The water will be used for spray irrigation.
