Details of the application

W B Chambers Farms Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Medway catchment.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water as follows:

  • at an instantaneous rate of 17.7 litres per second
  • 64 cubic metres an hour
  • 1,524 cubic metres a day
  • 52,604 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 April and 31 March inclusive in each year.
  • at National Grid Reference (NGR) TQ 71131 45879
  • from abstraction location Church Farm

The water will be used for Trickle Irrigation - Direct.
