Vivaldi study: staff testing letter
This letter explains the testing regime that staff in care homes participating in the Vivaldi study are being asked to follow.

Staff in care homes taking part in the Vivaldi care home study are asked to continue taking weekly polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests from 16 February 2022.
This is in addition to the pre-shift daily lateral flow test (LFT).
This letter explains why care homes participating in the Vivaldi study are being asked to follow this testing guidance. It also contains further information, for example around self-isolation guidance.
A copy of this letter from Jenny Harries was sent to care homes taking part in the Vivaldi study on 2 February 2022.
