The Inspection Data Summary Report (IDSR) replaces the old inspection dashboard. Log in to Analyse School Performance to view IDSR data for years 16 to 19.

The guidance includes:

  • general guidance on using the IDSR
  • guidance on specific areas to investigate
  • a spreadsheet showing percentile boundaries used in the IDSR
  • an anonymised report to use as an example

  1. Updated 'Guidance for the 16 to 19 inspection data summary report: areas to investigate' with a section called ‘Completion and Attainment’. Updated ‘Percentile boundaries used in the 2017 inspection data summary reports: 16 to 19’ with updated ‘C&A in Tech levels’ worksheet and new worksheet called ‘C&A in Tech Certificates.
  2. Updated Percentile boundaries spreadsheet: the IDSRs now use validated rather than invalidated data, so the boundaries have been recalculated and moved slightly as a result.
  3. Updated anonymised IDSR: minor improvements to presentation based on user feedback.
  4. Added an anonymised 2017 further education report for further education providers and others to use as an example.
  5. Added guidance for using the inspection data summary report (IDSR) for 16 to 19 and removed documents about the old inspection dashboard.
