Details

Soils manufactured from waste should be classified and managed as waste.

When these manufactured soils are produced from a specified list of inputs at a site operating with a permit issued by the Environment Agency and the soil meets BS3882:2015, we will not require a permit for the use or deposit of the soil.

You must meet all the criteria set out in this position statement for the permit requirement to be removed.
