Using graduate earnings data in the regulation of higher education providers

Details

This report uses Longitudinal Education Outcomes (LEO) data to estimate the lifetime earnings of students on courses in the same subject studying at different higher education providers. These estimates are used to evaluate the relative impact of individual courses on the earnings outcomes of students, accounting for demographic and prior attainment differences in provider intake.

This research builds upon previous research conducted by the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) of the estimated lifetime earnings return to undergraduate degrees.

For additional underlying data, contact the IFS.
