Details

These materials are designed to help school and college staff use generative AI tools safely and appropriately. They should be used in conjunction with the other modules and training materials about using AI in education settings.

This final module provides basic information about:

  • the opportunities generative AI presents to a wide range of use cases in education​
  • how to select generative AI tools for specific purposes​
  • how to prompt effectively
  • how to create an action plan for exploring AI use in your setting

Any use of AI needs to be carefully planned, and what is appropriate in one setting may not be in elsewhere. You should always follow the DfE’s AI policy paper and product safety framework, and align any AI use with the ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ guidance.
