Unlocking Space for Investment is a UK Space Agency programme to drive private investment and growth in the UK space sector, and to boost economic prosperity.

  1. - The Growth Pathway scheme description has been updated to show figures appropriate for 2026-27, subsidy amounts under this have changed. - The Successful Voucher template letter has been updated, which gives more detail about the scheme. The Growth Pathway scheme description has a link to this letter at the foot of the page. This link will need to be updated once the letter at the link is updated.

The programme addresses key barriers to investment through targeted interventions and strategic networking.

Our Goals are to:

  • Enhance Business Readiness: Prepare space businesses for investment opportunities

  • Strengthen Investor Confidence: Build trust and confidence among investors

  • Expand Financing Options: Explore diverse financing solutions to support growth in the UK space sector

  • Enhance Investor-Business Connections: Foster strong relationships between investors and space businesses

Our Initiatives are:

  • Growth Pathway: Supports ambitious UK space businesses demonstrate investor readiness and unlock the capital required to catalyse their next phase of global growth through the provision of subsidised access to advisory services.

  • Growth Hub: Resources, insights and tools designed to help UK Space Businesses become investment-ready.

  • Investor Pathway: Attracts new and diverse sources of capital into the UK space sector, offering investors a gateway to a growing market and access to Government-backed opportunities

  • Space Investment Network: Facilitates structured engagement through events, roundtables, and a forthcoming public information hub

  • UKI2S Space Fund: Publicly backed venture capital fund supporting early-stage space businesses
