These materials are designed to support all school and college staff with understanding the potential of AI in their settings. They should be used in conjunction with the other modules and training materials about using AI in education settings.

This module provides basic information about:

  • what AI is
  • how AI works
  • the importance of using AI alongside teachers’ expertise and experience to unlock more meaningful time with pupils and students

Disclaimer

Any use of AI needs to be carefully planned, and what is appropriate in one setting may not be in elsewhere. You should always follow the DfE’s AI policy paper and product safety framework, and align any AI use with the ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ guidance.
