An overview of UK trade, how it has grown in recent years, and in which markets and sectors the UK has the strongest market share. It analyses trade patterns, considers how UK performance compares to key competitor countries and looks at increasing competition from south-south trade. It assesses why certain patterns emerge, and where UK performance could be improved. It also looks at the shape of future global demand, and where to reap the greatest benefits from trade growth.
