This statement records the decision of the UK National Contact Point (UK NCP) to further examine a claim made by IUF, an international federation of labour unions. IUF claimed that British American Tobacco (BAT) is linked, via a business relationship with a US company, to alleged labour abuses on US tobacco farms. The complaint will now go forward for mediation or further examination.

You can make a complaint if a company is breaching the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) guidelines.
