UK Disability Survey research report: data tables

Updated 20 September 2021

Respondent characteristics

Questions about respondent characteristics were asked of all respondents. These questions provide important demographic information about the survey population, and helped to inform how closely the respondent population reflected the wider population of the UK.

Notably, this survey is not designed to be representative of the demographic of disabled people throughout the UK. Such a survey design would only allow for a selected individuals to submit responses, while the Disability Unit was focussed on gathering insights from all disabled people, carers, and members of the general public who had insights they wished to contribute.
